Online Dating Profile Tips
In this video, Kipici Talk (by Canada dating service Kipici) provides some online dating profile tips through an interview with Dr. Stacey MacKinnon, an Assistant Professor of Social Psychology at the University of Prince Edward Island. There were only three episodes of Kipici Talk produced in 2010 and the show hasn’t relaunched this year. The style is a bit “jittery” with purposeful “shakey” camera moves and switching between black and white and color, which distracts from the message of the show. The message in this episode is how to improve your online dating profile. And as Dr. Stacey MacKinnon points out, it all starts with being honest. When you lie on your online dating profile, your trust is eroded and people won’t trust you, making it hard to establish a relationship. MacKinnon also says that you need to be “human” (not super-human) in your profile. By showing yourself as a “total human being”, you become more attractive to others. Also, avoid “messenger-type” abbreviations (you are perceived as unintelligent) and spelling errors. Here’s the video:

So he logs onto Canada Singles and to his disbelief he finds her - the Susan he’s been looking for - the one that’s never been kissed…
